A new coffee/vinyl shop called Fleetwood Macchiato is a popular hangout for the teens and twenty-somethings of Silent Pines. It boasts the best lattes in town and hosts open mic nights on weekends in the upstairs lounge. The patron of Fleetwood Macchiato is unknown, but its current manager, Tyrell Prince, is seen there every day bossing around the employees when he isn’t busy directing at the local theater.

After a strange incident destroyed part of the original building, the Silent Pines Public Library was moved to its downtown location on the corner of its two main streets. For a small town, the library houses an impressive collection of books, including access to the “antiques collection” if you are a card-carrying member of the Library Donors Society.

The sheriff’s office and police headquarters for Silent Pines can be found smack-dab in the middle of downtown, about a block from Town Square Park. Sheriff George Polk is in the office most days, working at his desk.

Jazzmine Dance Academy opened in the early 1980s, primarily teaching ballet and competitive ballroom dancing. Since then, it has opened up to a wide range of classes including jazz, country line dancing, tap, and contemporary choreography. Classes occur 7 days a week and are grouped by age as well as skill. Private lessons are available upon request.

The Tempest Grove Medical Plaza is one of the budget buildings built in the 70’s when Silent Pines had a sudden boost in population. It contains mostly private practices and specialists in medical fields covering everything from both mental and physical therapies to dental surgery and podiatry. Being such a terribly maintained building and in the “bad” side of downtown, the monthly rates for office space are super cheap.

The Seventh Star appears on the surface to be your typical New Age gift shop, but rumor has it that the mysterious proprietors have a broader range of wares available to those in the know. Patrons of the shop with a discerning eye might note that the mirrors above the door are made from antique silvered glass.

During disco’s glory days, Club Clarity was a glamorous hotspot for the elite of Silent Pines. But when the popularity for disco dipped and dance clubs were no longer the scene du jour, the original owners were forced to close its doors. In the early 2000’s, three-time Miss Beautiful Pines winner Jacqueline Masters found herself disappointed by the lack of safe entertainment spaces for the town’s youth. Inspired by her own glory days as a disco queen, she purchased and renovated the building. Though the club does serve alcohol, anyone 16 or over is welcome provided they bring a valid photo I.D. Hand stamps are given at the door for those old enough to imbibe.

The Town Square Park in the heart of Downtown is actually constructed in the shape of a hexagon. A lush and green area, it features beautiful landscaping including a modern fountain and a wooden gazebo that has been standing since the 19th century. Some of the trees in the park were planted around the same time that the gazebo was built.

Now celebrating its 10th year anniversary, TechBros Computer Repair is the best place in Silent Pines to get your electronics fixed. Started by the Douglas brothers, they specialize in computers, cellphones, tablets, and even gaming systems. For an extra fee, they’ll send out one of their associates for house calls.
