On first meeting, Angela is overwhelming. She’s bold, boisterous, and very ALIVE, the kind of person who takes over a room effortlessly—and she knows it. The girl will unabashedly share her opinions or advice with anyone and seems to take delight in stirring things (and people) up. Angela gives off the impression that she’s a witless sixteen-going-on-seventeen party girl without a care in the world.
The few people that actually know her realize this is just the game she plays. Angela is deceptively smart and a quick study. She’ll have you all figured out in fifteen minutes.
Lately Angela is finding herself wrapped up in the strange mysteries surrounding Julian Hollinger. Her best friend has always been Angela’s rock, conscience, and safe place. Now the girl is having issues and Angela intends to return the favor.

Angela is a junior at Silent Pines High School, but half of her classes are actually at senior level. She might play stupid, but she’s a straight-A student with almost enough credits to graduate early. She keeps it under wraps as best she can because she hates being asked to prove that she has a brain. Her favorite class is Gothic Literature, though she also enjoys languages, history, and a healthy dash of Physics.

Friends are not easy for Angela to come by. The girl just doesn’t connect with people very often. She’s quick to label them annoying or boring or any number of excuses she can think up and then skip on to the next person that catches her fancy.
One major exception is Julian. From the very moment they met on the kindergarten playground, Julian was not only interesting to play with and talk to, she always protected Angela—whether it was from bullies or just Angela’s own really bad ideas. Above everything else on the planet (besides her dad), Angela values her friendship with Julian most of all.
She would die before she ever admits it, but she may also be best friends with Margrit Berkshire. She still can’t figure out why; the redhead is a demonic harpy.
